Doctoral students have access to a range of financial assistance for research, conference travel, and for the writing of their dissertations.  These funds are available from the History Department, College of Liberal Arts, and ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ School.  Most awards are highly competative, and based on timely progression through the degree. 

Doctoral students seeking financial assistance to defray the costs of travel must first contact the ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ College, and then the College of Liberal Arts.  The History Department will attempt to cover the remaining costs of travel, especially to conferences where students are presenting original research papers.
